I have written a poem in anger over the ELCA’s refusal to accept GLBTQ people as full partners in humanity. Their recent statement is nothing new and is just another way to keep people in the church who threaten to leave over this issue. If the Lutheran Church does not make a mature statement about this issue they will be losing many other people who have given up on waiting for them to act as Jesus would have acted.
